When the movie Jaws sparked a fascination with the great white shark, aquariums all over tried to get one to display. That didn’t work, for a variety of reasons. The only institution that had any luck at all was the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, and they expended a huge amount of resources for rather weak successes.
