There are a lot of people who critique the Disney princesses as being poor role models for little girls. I wonder if they'd change their tune if they were more empowered like the X-(Wo)Men.
You know ApparatusMini, when someone writes "there are a lot of people," it doesn't mean they are one of those people. I always looked up to Belle when I was younger and I think she is a great role model, but that doesn't change the fact that yes, a lot of people still critique the Disney princesses.
My preschooler loves the Disney princesses, but she's been in a superhero phase for the past week. She wraps a small blanket around her neck and runs around the house rescuing people and stuffed animals. I love it! Superheroes are much better role models.
