Google Maps Captures a Plane in Flight

Double rainbow! This image is from Google Maps' satellite view. It shows a plane flying over Hyde Park in Chicago.

This is neat, technically speaking the plane would appear to be traveling faster than the speed of light since the plane is out in front of the fastest light ban (red), and far in front of the slowest light ban (blue). This is a very interesting photo.

Never seen one with multiple rainbow effects (presumably created by building a colour image from multiple exposures)I have, however, seen several planes in flight on Google maps. By far the coolest was a Lancaster bomber.

Brian: Depends who took the picture, I imagine. If you look at it on GoogleEarth, it says it's a TerraMetrics image taken in 2010 (unlike what Google Maps says). The black/white seems to provide the detail, the color is added in lower resolution.
