One Punch Man Animator Tries Animating Lightsaber Battle Scene From The Phantom Menace

Animators often practice animating action sequences by creating a hand-drawn version of a live action movie scene, the more dynamic motion in the scene the better.

So when Arifumi Imai, the talented animator who has worked on One Punch Man, Naruto: Shippuden and Attack On Titan, wanted some action animation practice he chose the Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul lightsaber fight from The Phantom Menace as his inspiration.

The scene is kept simple and rough, since it's just an exercise, but you can imagine how amazing it would look as a polished scene in an anime series.

Fisherman Fred

Most fisherfolks find the act of baiting a hook, casting it out and reeling it in to be very relaxing, and as long as they're able to chill out they consider every fishing trip a success, whether they catch anything or not.

But Fisherman Fred is the star of this Cyanide & Happiness short for a reason- because he can't stop catching stuff! Too bad none of it is fish...

Vintage Photos Of Cool Kids Skateboarding In The 1960s

Skateboarding in the 60s was a totally freestyle affair, so your fellow skaters wouldn't look down upon you for cruising downhill while sitting on your board, but just like today skating was something you did with friends.

In the spring of '65 photographer Bill Eppridge hung out in New York City and documented all the cool kids on their skateboards, his photos published In the May 14, 1965 issue of Life Magazine.

This was back before skaters surfed pools or grinded rails, a simpler time when they just cruised around and enjoyed the ride, their skateboards seen as a fun but mellow form of mobility rather than a platform for performing stunts.

And even though skateboarding is mostly for young folks there is, was and always will be some older dude hanging around who wants in on the action, only back in the 60s they looked way cooler while not acting their age.

Top 10 Hilariously Awful Movie Fights

Movie fights are usually over the top scenes involving stuff being smashed, characters that cannot be knocked out and more sweet moves than an MMA match, which is apparently how most audiences like them to be.

However, in recent years Hollywood filmmakers have tried to make fight scenes more realistic, leaving audiences unsure how they feel about seeing what a real fight looks like on film.

But there's one thing audiences will always agree on- when a fight scene is awful it smacks you straight in the face with its awfulness- making it impossible to look away!

This WatchMojo compilation counts down the Top 10 Hilariously Awful Movie Fights, from the bloody ridiculousness of Samurai Cop to the shirt-ripping silliness of Undefeatable.

Get Happy - Have A Magical Day!

Get Happy by Bubbleknight

Not everyone is a fan of that perpetually bubbly and cheerful flying cat named Happy, but even those members of the Fairy Tale Guild who can't stand the sight of his smilin' mug all agree on one thing- his happiness is infectious. And when he cries out "Aye Sir!" even the biggest sourpuss can't help but smile, if only because his silly schtick can be downright laughable at times. Happy succeeds in making others feel joyful in the darkest of times, but the weight of the magical world does weigh pretty heavily on him so he doesn't always have cheer to spare. But when he's feelin' good and brimming with magical might Happy is an unstoppable force for positivity in an otherwise bleak world.

Spread happiness wherever you go by wearing this Get Happy t-shirt by Bubbleknight, it's the perfect shirt to put a smile on people's faces whether they're anime fans or just think Happy the cat is a cute character.

The World's Strongest Man Reveals What He Eats In A Day

Our bodies are built to derive energy from food, and we all need to take in a different amount of calories each day to keep our bodies functioning properly and give us all the energy we need.

Therefore the more physically active your lifestyle the more calories you need to take in, and for 4 time World's Strongest Man champion Brian Shaw that daily calorie intake level is over 9000, calories that is.

Brian eats 6 meals a day, weighing in at 9,000+ calories total, and that's not only a lot of food- that's a lot of prep time and effort to eat!

Dog The Munchkin Cat Likes To Wear Costumes

Cats look comically cool in costumes yet have a hard time keeping their cool while dressed up, but some kitties actually seem to enjoy wearing costumes, like this adorable Scottish fold munchkin cat named "Dog".

A post shared by Cho (@dog1501) on Jan 11, 2018 at 3:28am PST

Dog genuinely likes wearing the costumes his owner Lê Quoc Phong puts on him, and because of his mellow mood and snazzy outfits Dog is able to go to work with fish vendor Lê and help him bring in customers.

A post shared by Cho (@dog1501) on Sep 21, 2017 at 6:22pm PDT

Even though he has an ironic name Dog is one cool cat, and according to Lê  he's the kinda cat who gets around town:

Dog feels very cosy [in these costumes] and can walk normally. …Dog loves ice cream, traveling and sleeping. He also has a lot of girlfriends and a lot of children in the country.

Mind-Blowing Hacks That Actually Work

When life presents a problem, dilemma or obstacle that can't be solved or overcome through simple means the uncreative are stumped, flummoxed or stymied while the creative get to hackin'.

Wanna turn your smartphone's flashlight into a UV light? Apply clear tape with marker on it in 3 layers, two blue one red, over your phone's LED flash panel and you've got an UV light in your pocket.

If you're in need of an emergency candle you can light the marker's felt tip on fire to create a small but steady flame, and the marker might even work still after you're done.

These clever little hacks and many more can be found on this fun tutorial video by 5-Minute Crafts, tune in and learn how to do neat stuff!

Parkour Field Trip

Parkour videos are pretty fun to watch, and that POV GoPro footage can give viewers quite a thrill, but the Parkour obsessed seem like they'd be kinda annoying to hang out with.

They seem like the type of people who'd spend the whole time jumping around and climbing over stuff, an assumption that seems to be backed up by this video put together by Kuma Films.

But as the video goes on you discover a) of course they're flipping around and jumping off of stuff, they're filming the whole thing and b) this particular group of Parkour enthusiasts seem like pretty chill guys with mad skills. Plus- most of their shirts still have sleeves on them!

This Incredible Star Wars Mural Took 450 Hours To Complete

There is some really, really bad fan art out there that makes you want to cringe when you come across it online, but the vast majority of the fan art shared online is okay, mediocre, so-so, good enough.

This sea of mediocre fan art makes the really great pieces stand out, but you don't need to see a bunch of bad fan art to appreciate this piece- because it's a standout blockbuster all on its own!

It took artist James Raiz, aka TheBoxOfficeArtist, 450 hours over the course of 7 months to complete this massive Star Wars mural, which is made up of eight smaller sections one for each live action movie released.

But you don't have to sit through over 400 hours of footage to see James create this amazing mural, because this timelapse video shows the entire creation process in around ten minutes!

This Photo Series Reveals What It's Like To Raise Boys

They say raising boys and girls couldn't be more different, since each sex requires a different form of parenting, and parents will say boys or girls are harder to deal with depending on their experience.

There may be no real answer to this question, since each kid presents their own challenges for a parent, but there is one thing we know for sure- boys tend to play differently than girls.

Boys like to roughhouse more than girls, they make getting dirty into a full-fledged sport, and when it comes to getting into trouble boys are always ready to lend each other a hand.

Arlington, Texas-based photographer Sara Easter has been documenting day-to-day life with her three boys, ages 4, 7 and 9, and her photos reveal not only all the brattiness found in young boys but also all the love these brothers have for each other.

The Nerdy Hallows - Harry's Hack N Slash

The Nerdy Hallows by Thompson Custom Art Creations

Every wizard knows the best way to win a battle is to hedge your bets by arming yourself with as many backup spells as you can remember, but there comes a point when both magic and melee weapons must be used to defeat the darkness. So while it's always good to have some extra spells handy it's even better to have every nerdy weapon imaginable in your pocket should one of Voldie's minions get within striking range. Because a lightsaber or two will still cut the mustard even if you don't know how to use the Force, and the Sting of a magical blade stays with a bad guy long after they've fled the field of battle!

Add the power of a geeky weapon or three to your wardrobe with this The Nerdy Hallows t-shirt by Thompson Custom Art Creations, it's all the protection you'll ever need against the forces of dorkness!
