Did you know that Kinder eggs are
1. not from Germany despite named after the German word for 'children', but actually Italian, and
2. that Ferrero, the company that makes them, is the same that makes Nutella?

It's the centre hub of a wind turbine propeller.
The three large openings are where the propeller blades are attached, the smaller opening that is at the bottom in the photo is where the propeller is attached to the generator unit on top of the mast.
No t-shirt please.

The Speyer Museum has an even longer one underneath their 747: http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/b6/4c/1e/aussengelande.jpg
Its sister museum nearby in Sinsheim also has one or two slides like that, albeit smaller, underneath planes. One of them goes through the roof of a hangar!
John, I may have some photos from a visit a few years back, are you interested in an article about the two museums - they are really one museum in two locations. Their collection of oldtimer cars and airplanes, as well as other assorted technology, is awesome!
