The BeeGee's Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. when George Burns starts singing Fixing a Hole? yeah i had to shut the movie off. first time i've ever did that for a movie. even plan 9 and manos i watched all the way through.
pockets: Taxi Wallet, cell-phone, keys. backpack: LLBean Turbo Transit backpack (black), external hard drive in case logic case (with ipod/usb connector), headphones, a couple of books, pens, 2nd gen ipod touch, pen shaped mini screwdriver, Altoid tin with extra screw tips and other effluvia, mouse, Lenovo laptop (so the kid doesn't wash this one with a bottle of water, like the last laptop).... and random parts of toys from the 5 year old (stuff i almost stepped on). I'm slowly working on creating a mobile office in a backpack. Hopefully (and slowly given my limited extra income), i'll be able to condense/add a few things to make it a small office i can carry on my back.
1. my 5 year old loves Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, since all we own is PS2. it's great because you can pop in with a two player mode to help them out. then drop out and have them back at one player again. the refined gameplay vs. the first Lego Star Wars makes this a winner for my son.
We also tried Katamari Damacy & the sequel, We <3 Katamari. While he enjoyed rolling stuff up, the tank-style controllers (analog stick) for him was a bit challenging.
2. Pizza? we're not picky. so the 2 dollar Roma frozen pizza works for us (probably on the bad taste menu). Otherwise my homemade pizza is a hit. even for friends. I've masterd the Chicago Style Deepdish. but still working out how to get a new york thin without using a dough sheeting machine ;). recipe? send me an email i'll send the recipe: vanmeterx@gmail.com :)
