I've just completed my latest crafting project: an acrylic edge LED light inspired by the anime series One Week Friends.

One Week Friends is an endearing 12-episode romance. It's about Yūki Hase, an anxious high school student who befriends a lonely girl named Kaori Fujimiya. With a compelling story, charming characters, and great music, it's easily one of my favorite animes.

Yūki in particular is a well-told character. He's truly realistic in that although he's heroic, he's also a teenager. Yūki is immature with tendencies toward jealousy and insecurity, so he's remarkably human. I decided to make him the subject of my latest project.

The folks at Foodbeast put together a list of 50 restaurants worldwide that are worthy of travel to-do lists due to their stunning views. Each panorama is so beautiful that it's hard to put the destinations in order of priority in terms of the ones I'd like to visit first (although the views from the restaurants featured here I find particularly breathtaking). Anyone who has ever worked with entertainment industry talent knows they can be a mighty demanding bunch who often use their celebrity status to get what they want, no matter how bizarre.

Sometimes their request is as simple as top billing, or a reworking of the script so their character gets more screentime, but other celebs aren’t so easily impressed. They demand stuff, really strange stuff, or they're liable to come down with a case of Scriptatosis, rendering them unable to effectively read their lines.

The filmmakers creating modern Marvel movies are able to take full advantage of the cutting edge CGI software available today, and those digital effects help make stories about superheroes look far more believable on the big screen.

But a digital artist’s job isn't just to make the effects believable- it's to make the VFX so believable, and so seamlessly integrated into the film, that viewers can’t tell what’s real and what’s CGI.

It's interesting to see how much of our favorite films are shot in a total green screen environment nowadays, and even simple stunts are nothing but a pile of polygons nowadays.

There is no camping without a campfire, unless your idea of camping is sitting around the warm glow of a laptop screen outside your home, so avid campers have to know their way around a pile of fiery wood.
