Jimbo, I would be the one to blame for not tailoring my submissions to your personal sense of "neatness." I was probably aiming more toward some of the other readers who consider wonders of the natural world to be "neat" (in the sense of "clever"). In the future I will try to avoid the nasty, gross, "icky-poo" realities of the world that seem to offend you.

It's clever, but it's too bad they've used other people's photos, and added their own watermark rather than taking a few photos with their own camera.

I suppose this sort of thing is inevitable with all the viral cat photos on the web.

That may be true. But the topic may potentially be important to some Neatorama readers.

I wonder if the author of the NASA piece actually meant "west" in describing Matabei, or whether he was reflexly using the term to mean "to the left in the photo." If the first crater is near the south pole, then anything else is likely to be north of it.
