I've posted this item in the "Pictures" category rather than under "Politics," because the important point isn't the identity of the President, but the expression of utter joy on the face of the elderly Frenchman.
Perhaps at this point it would be relevant to insert mention of Skylon Tower overlooking Niagara Falls - "In the base of the tower you will find a large arcade, several gift shops and numerous fast food restaurants. For those who enjoy watching movies there has been a newly added 3D/4D Theatre, along with 2 Starbucks franchises, and a bridge which connects the Fallsview Casino.'
I fully understand that some animals enjoy doing tricks, and that animals trained to perform tricks like this bring in tourist $$$ which can be redirected back to helping the animals, but I still find the spectacle to be unutterably sad.
Thank you, Jill! I photographed this phenomenon when I lived in Kentucky 30 years ago, but had not seen a good explanation on the web. Much appreciated.

which, of course, is somewhat ironic.
