Would I be a spoilsport if I pointed out that in real life, bald eagles are carrion eaters?

Isn't there anyone who can just relax and enjoy a faked video for what it is - an attempt at humor? This video is not narrated by David Attenborough for the BBC; it's more like a Rowan and Martin segment or a Python sketch.

An even more awesome still photo of one is here:

Mr. Hodges, the original link at The Independent says this about the clothing:
"Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service group manager John McCormack said: "We had to make sure the protective equipment was suitable both for riding a motorbike and also fighting a fire when he gets there. He does not have time to get changed."
I would think they would be the ones to contact. I found this link for them:

Good luck.

The lack of sensory nerves in the brain is irrelevant, because this didn't even penetrate the skull; it's in the subcutaneous tissues of the scalp.

Outstanding! I can't find any explanation at the link regarding why this process wasn't commercially exploited. Perhaps audiences were sufficiently awed by B&W, and this would have been more expensive.
Thanks for posting this.

There is an excellent discussion of the history of the word "nurdle" at World Wide Words:

Poor people don't create jobs? Depends on your viewpoint/bias re what constitutes "creating" the job. Over half of my career consisted of working with poor people; if by some magic they had not existed, either I or one of my colleagues would not have had a job.

Actually the concept is not as totally irrational as everyone commenting here seems to assume. This from a book excerpt found with a quick Google:
“Japan had plenty of places where we sat on the floor to eat. Some places had a hole in the floor where I could let my feet hang down. That was a lot better than having to have my legs sticking out straight.” (book by James M. Hill, Sr.)
A reGoogle adding "Japanese restaurant" suggests this is a common design feature.

It's certainly a strange toilet - with a lid that doesn't fit on the tank, and with no seat. Something smells funny...
