That's a pretty elaborate joke -- Smith must have had to pay two tuitions so that Burdell didn't get kicked out of school. Plus, didn't "he" have at least a couple of classes in which one needed actual face time with the faculty, instead of big, anonymous lectures?
Yes, but that $100 million dollars is being spent, which means it goes into the economy, which means it goes to people. The policemen getting overtime, the dressmakers, the caterers. the street cleaners. And think of all of the ancillary monies from people coming to London for the event -- restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops. I think it could be a bigger money maker for the UK than the Olympics.
Maybe I'm being insensitive here, but what kind of moron looks at a Barbie doll and thinks that is what she is supposed to look like? Maybe if that is all she ever saw....like she was kept in a cage in the basement. A Barbie may be one influence, but there are 100's of other women out there (mom? aunts? sisters?) that a little girl could "assume" she is supposed to look like. Sounds like a cop-out -- blame the outside factors, not take the responsibility on yourself.
@JCoffelt -- you don't think, regardless of where they are located, these three men *won't* have to live with the consequences for the rest of their lives?
And that sound is hilarious.
