Oh for sure easy. That's a blasting cap/device mechanism that's a spring loaded tube for triggering an explosive blast. Used in above ground coal mining for example where the explosives are buried in the area they want to blast, is connected to a tube that holds a type of explosive, which then the safe end is connected to this blasting cap silver tube, which has a small gun powder/cap inside it which when hit with the pull backed spring trigger, ignites the explosive blast! Or a giant bubble of bubble gum... depends on what they put down the hole.
