The bit on Andrew Johnson is unfair and inaccurate. He was not impeached for failing to manage Reconstruction well, he was impeached as part of the same sort of political wrangling that led to Clinton's impeachment. Johnson tried to follow Lincoln's plan for Reconstruction and the hardliners in Congress wanted to treat the South like a conquest. And unmentioned is the fact that Johnson was a Democrat, though Lincoln was a Republlican -- they ran together on the Union Party ticket, a bit of policticking by Lincoln that was either inspired or lunatic.
