I concur, "That's All Right" was a landmark record at Sun Studios, but was first ripped by Carl Perkins there. At least that's what I gleaned from Jarmusch's Mystery Train.
I always thought the movie payed a strict homage to the atrocities via Alec Guiness, and his ordeal. Most folks think of the silly whistling scenes when recalling this film. I always think of his death scene, and his time in the box.
It's actually quite simple. The optical nerve sends a signal to the occipital cortex, and LOVE happens through a series of awesome synapses. LOVE is all you need, and yes I believe in a LOVE at first sight... certain that it happens all the time.
The orderly editing is awesome, though. When Sidney Poitier says "They call me Mr. Tibbs," I cheer. Then again, I always cheer when he says that.
