Gigi confuses me. It says on the poster something about "The First Great musical since My Fair Lady", but six years later My Fair Lady wins best picture. Howzzat?
@Jen-- PIN number, ATM machine and HIV virus are all redundant because N stands for number, etc.
And I am a staunch user of the semicolon; it's very useful when breaking up a sentence into two isolated thoughts. My problem is deciding whether to use a colon or a dash.
Just watched the excellent show "Before the Dinosaurs" on Discovery and was reminded of this thread. Because it's important to remember we are part of this chain of life that began with a severe amount of violence. It reminded me that we are pretty far removed from what we once were, and getting to the zero point is probably a pipe dream. We're always going to have violence and individuals acting out. I love the film because it examines this lingering aspect of our species, and any knee-jerk reaction to the timing of the posting is improper, since something else is bound to happen soon enough.
Sometimes I skip over a Neatorama post if it looks like something that isn't Neat-to-me. I advise similar strategy.
I've seen similar videos that illustrate the complex goings-on at the cellular level, and it's fascinating to behold. If I had these kinds of films to watch in 6th grade, I probably would have gotten more into chemistry/biology than I did.
Congrats on 12345. I've been coming here twice a day (at least) since late 2005, usually during a lull in my daily grind. I'm a realtor for Century 21, and believe it or not==we are busy! I really appreciate all the work you and the other authors do here. You try to present interesting topics/thingys in an informative way, yet always manage to create an air of excitement that's missing on similar sites.

I love colon.

You must use more exclamation points than anyone!
Seriously, that was awesome.
