I (we) lived in Vernon for 18 years up to 2005. The amusement park part of town was (and likely still is) controlled by a cabal of corrupt businessmen who clearly have still got their powers for getting anything they want. Nothing they ever proposed was denied. And the fact that this has been resurrected is clear proof of that magic.
