That's exactly my point - watching animals kill and mate from a safe distance while adding elevator music and a british voiceover is just weird. It's like a snuff film with birds in it.
I guess I liked David Attenborough stuff as a kid, but I definitely don't like it now. It's literally "here's the most murderous, nihilistic aspects of nature set to the calming sounds of british voiceover and orchestral music". If you did that with human murder, we would all be mortified. But if it's endless murder with birds or lions, it's super cool and interesting. No one's denying reality here - I'm saying he does a bad job of capturing the full spectrum of nature. And what kinda person enjoys watching animals murdering each other to a british voiceover.
