When I was about 5 I lived in an apartment and my room had a closet that I always hated opening. One night I woke up screaming so my mum came in to calm me down. I stopped screaming, looked directly into my mum's eyes and said "Don't turn around. They'll get you." I don't remember this, as that was 13 years ago, but I hear about it nonstop from my family.
Also, when my little brother was 4 I went to go to bed and he was standing at the top of the stairs, looking at me. I asked him what was wrong and he responded with "Nothing, the man just wanted me to tell you to get the doll out of your room. He says it wants to eat your eyes." Of course, I immediately got rid of my china doll (that always seemed to move on it's own but I never paid any attention to it).
