This was more true when aged liquor was bottled full strength. These days most is watered down at the bottling plant to a consistent 80 proof (40%).

There is quite a difference between .03% blood alcohol and 0.3%. The former would not impair most humans. The latter would put many in the hospital.

Depending on where you start, and the tools you use, the blade could take between three hours and three weeks to forge for real. Creating the brass parts and finishing could never have been done in a day.

Back when I traveled to Europe regularly, I had a stunt that improved service. When waitstaff spokenintheir native language, I asked if they spoke English. When they got rude, I asked if they spoke German. That was enough to establish me as bilingual.
