I have been thinking about the statement, "Elvis Presley was, quite possibly, the most famous and successful entertainer of all time."
In his day, Bing Crosby was the king of all media: Recorded music, Live radio, TV and Movies. According to Wikipedia he was the best selling artist of the 20th century. Of course, he did nt leave us a Graceland.
Attended high school from '72 -- '74. The cool kids never carried anything, much less books.
I have never understood why anyone needed to carry anything more than a notebook. Reading and book problems were done at home before class. Teachers spent the entire class lecturing or supervising tests. One got out of homeroom by doing library "research" or being part of a club.
You should see what passes for California wine in Tesco. The brands that are bottom shelf "value" wines out here cost triple in England and occasionally suffer from poor storage
All Maltese can grow hair like that. If Shrek is like my Rosey was, he has two anti-survival instincts: 1. hating to spend the night anywhere but home and 2. no sense of direction. Given my experience, I am guessing Shrek escaped while being cared for while his owner was on vacation.
I might be late to the party, but here are a few geographical terms:
Fell _____ US - Past tense of "Fall" ____ UK - Hill or Mountain How ______________________________ UK - Hill Force ___ US - Push hard ____________ UK - Waterfall Water ___ US - Liquid H2O ___________ UK - Lake
Please see my post above. Having traveled to England three months ago, I respectfully disagree. No British Ale was over 4% alcohol. No American beer (unless it is labeled as "light") is under 4%. Restaurant food porotions were quite a bit larger. Specifically, they trypically served an amount of fires three times what we get in the States. The meat or fish portion was double.
1. Flick light switches up for "on", not down. 2. We are dead serious about driving laws. Tickets are part of municipal income. 3. A $10 martini will have three times the alcohol. 4. When a map shows a hiking trail, there will be a real trail, not a poorly marked series of stiles. 5. Contrary to popular myth, restaurant food portions will be much smaller. 6. While I am on the subject of drinking, beer will have twice the alcohol. 7. The food selection will be greatly increased. Try everything. (Except the fish and chips. You will be greatly disappointed.) 8. The only kitchen appliance you will know how to use is the dishwasher. Ask for help. 9. Our Internet speeds are crap. Get used to it. Nothing to be done.

Dp you have a novel or twenty within you? I know an agent. But, then again, you must as well.
