Yes, it is difficult to make a lightly colored beer. It is easy to make a low alcohol beer that tastes great and is less filling.
It is also cheap. My last batch of such stuff was free: left over ingredients from previous batches of beer and sake. I agree with the Big O, if I want a high quality, light beer I go for Bud Light. Why waste time when the experts do such a good job for so little money?
