27:73... yet, I am a staunch gun owner, I prefer a small government, I am not too keen on social programs, and am a bit wary of high taxes. I see myself more as a libertarian centrist.
I may have said it before, but my favorite Ghibli film is the TV movie I Can Hear the Sea (aka Ocean Waves). It may be because I can relate to it the most since I was a 17 or 18 when I watched it back in 1996 (via fansubbed VHS tape). If You Listen Closely (aka Whisper of the Heart) is a close second, and Too Much Memories (aka Only Yesterday) is also up there on my list. Yup, I like slice-of-life films to the more fantasy-oriented Miyazaki flicks.
My favorite Miyazaki film is Castle of Cagliostro, pre-Ghibli, and Kiki's Delivery Service while in Ghibli.
Sigh, we've been battered with many destructive tropical storms this year, much more than is usual. I wonder when El Nino starts and the country will have fewer storms (and more droughts!). At least I'm in Luzon, away from the center of the storm. We're only having rain and little wind as of this morning.
BTW, I'm doing a Breaking Bad marathon and about 10 mins ago, and 30 seconds into season 3 episode 2, and [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT]Walter White is singing A Horse with no Name! Hah!
I always thought the most famous song by America is "Inspector Mills". I don't know why, but that song gets the most airplay on the radio today. Must be a regional quirk I guess.
To be brutally honest, I would be hesitant to help anyone who fell down, even if it's a sexy woman in very revealing clothes. I am a heartless libertarian social darwinist after all.
I've read of their exploits on most popular science books on the big bang, cosmology, or astronomy in general. Maybe their story isn't well known cause not many people read those kinds of books?
