My father was the Art Director on the original Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. I was only 4 at the time, so it's great to finally learn all the behind-the-scenes stories. For instance, my Dad had never mentioned the explosion during the episode with The Who. (BTW, this St. Patrick's Day will mark 20 years since his passing.)
Actually, that Taj Mahal photo is misleading. If you look at the satellite image in Google Maps, the surrounding area is quite beautiful. But looking at the camera angle, that "wasteland" pic was probably taken from somewhere in that patch of dry riverbed on the horribly-polluted Yamuna River that I've marked out. (Just a guess, though.)
Ordering from Amazon as often as I do, the only times I've had any kind of problem is with USPS delivery on Sundays. I'll get a text saying that they were "unable to find a secure location" to leave the package, and that they left a [nonexistant] notice. One time it took me 4 days to track down which post office to pick it up, being sent to 3 different stations... and it turned up at the FIRST one I went to!
Oh, those Bathroom Readers are fraught with inaccuracies. They also got wrong that the show ran five seasons on the WB, not four. And they spelt Joss' name correctly at the beginning, but then followed up with... "Josh Whedon got the last laugh."
Fake or not, while everybody else was referencing Total Recall, all I could think of was Eccentrica Gallumbits, the triple-breasted whore of Eroticon Six, from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Ummm, what about "NUMB3RS"?
