The problem I've always had with the Micro-UAV concept is that they work best indoors, where there's NO WIND!

By creepy coincidence, I've been reading "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris, and just yesterday I was at the chapter where the killer takes his blind girlfriend to the zoo, so that she can touch the anesthetized Bengal tiger which is about to get its broken tooth replaced.

I just recently watched the entire series for the first time since I was 7 (Man, I love DVD!!), and I'm so much more impressed with it, watching as an adult.
When I was a kid, I loved all the cool vehicles, but I couldn't follow the "talky" bits.
Now I'm finally able to appreciate all the thought and care that went into it. I don't really have time to go into it here, but in comparison to other Sci-Fi of the time, i.e. Star Trek, Lost in Space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, I'd actually consider UFO the better show!

Yep, Chernobyl was my first thought too, but it's about 1,000 km to the southeast.

The tickets for the LOST Live: The Final Celebration event at UCLA's Royce Hall also looked just like Oceanic boarding passes...

I love to use them for popcorn, but everybody else acts like I'm crazy, and they complain that I'm wasting valuable office supplies.
I have yet to see anybody else using them for snackin'.

Except that the Enterprise was expressly designed for non-atmospheric flight, the Abramsprise notwithstanding.

Actually, it looks disturbingly like an excised tumor.

What a coincidence! I was just watching the Doctor Who episode "The Shakespeare Code" yesterday on YouTube (a day late, but still!) ...

Brought the house down.
I've been trying to use that ever since — never got the slightest reaction.
