And if you tested to determine which educational track you were offered? Honestly, I went to college with a bunch of total idiots who were just there to party. I worked my ass off in a chemical factory supporting myself and sending myself to college [poly sci and sociology] and continued working physical labor to support myself until I invalided out. Then I went back to school 20 years later, and guess what, the kids were there to party for 4 years. The main difference was this batch could barely write a coherent paper. I say put the new generation to work instead of wasting money on a degree that probably won't get them any better job that working a call center or McDonalds. We need more plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs ... not office drones.
