You obviously know nothing about Jews. We are known for jokingly calling our kinky, thick hair a "jewfro". It's totally lighthearted, and anyone with a sense of humor should totally get it.
This is one of those moments where I find myself a little embarrassed by my white brothers and sisters. I'm white myself, but have what is know as the "Jewfro". Definitely ethnic hair. Co-washes, do-rags and even pink oil in my teen years (Not anymore!) saved my hair!!
It's a bit of a nitpick, but Teller is just Teller. That's his legal name. He's one of the very few people in this country to have NFN (no first name) Teller on his driver's license and passport.
Yeah, that's a funny thing, isn't it? Stockings/panty hose aren't really worn by younger people anymore. They're really fallen out of favor. Now, it's all tights and leggings.
That's what I actually meant by by stockings :) That's the funny thing about the language, even when we think we're being clear we aren't. I tend to differentiate between stockings and thigh highs.
Tights is another. Here in the states, it refers to a thick opaque stocking. Over in the UK, tights refers to all stockings. Tea can refer both to a drink and an afternoon meal.
Pissed is another - UK it means drunk, US it means angry.
In areas of Scotland the word Greet or Greeting means crying, in the States, it means to welcome.
My issue here is that it's a little disingenuous. She works in fitness for a living. That gives her opportunities for exercise that most of people do not have.
Well, for the record, I don't watch The Daily Show or get my news from entertainment sites. I'm also not so delicate that merely seeing an cartoon or article from the other side of the argument (I'll not say which side I sit on) offends me. I'm not a made of crepe paper. I'm an American built of tougher stuff.
Also, being a coming forma Jewish family, I couldn't disagree more with the comparison. Nor is this anything like "Two girls, One cup".
Again, if you are so sensitive that you cannot handle seeing an contrary opinion, or a political cartoon, I recommend a vacation from the internet.
Both sides are painted in a very ugly way, all the time. This comes from both sides!! We can't all just wilt, or request a censorship of the other opinion. That, my friend, is un-American.
From what I can tell, the only people who get offended by political posts here are those who sit on the other side of the aisle from what ever the post is saying.
Don't like it? Don't read it. Heck, I have to skip some of the gross foods! Those give me the willies! Pictures of clowns? Call me an ambulance.
Skip the stuff you don't like, enjoy the stuff you like. That's life. Nothing in this world is ever going to be perfect.

I'll clarify. In the US, it refers to one's bottom. In the UK, it refers to a vagina.
