The Viennese art group Gelatin designed a 200-foot-long toy rabbit on the side of the Colletto Fava mountain in Italy.

Walking Sticks Kung Fu.

E.W. Barton-Wright took a martial arts system of fighting with walking sticks developed by a Swiss professor of arms, M. Vigny, and assimilated it into a his own system called "Bartitsu".

University of Pittsburgh scientists have developed a robotic arm that can be controlled by thought alone. Human trials to begin soon. Link

Water Sculpture.

Liquid sculpture is the process of creating shapes by dropping and splashing water, then photographing these forms, which last only a few thousands of a second. Very cool photos. Link


Puppy Swallowed 13-in. Knife, Survived.

Vetenarian Jon-Paul Carew successfully removed a 13-inch serrated knife from the belly of Elsie, a 6-month old Saint Bernard puppy who swallowed it. http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/26/puppy.swallows.knife.ap/index.html (via Attu Sees All)

Zombie Dogs Brought Back to Life.

Pittsburth's Safar Center for Resuscitation Research (huh?) scientists have successfully revived dogs after clinical death (i.e. no heartbeat, no brain activity).

The scientsts developed technique that drained the dogs veins of blood and filled with ice-cold salt solution. Three hours later, they replaced the blood and the zombie dogs are brought back to life by an electric shock.
