Anna Livia Fountain on O'Connell Street in Dublin was created in 1988 by Eamonn O'Doherty (Anna Livia Plurabelle is a character in James Joyce's Finnegan's Wake). The fountain is lovingly (derisively?) named the "Floozie in the Jacuzzi" or the "Hoor in the Sewer" by Dubliners. I hear it's removed now, pending a move to a new location. Right? |
