Racist statements by Lincoln are everywhere - he wanted to ship all the blacks to Africa. Here's one:
"There is a natural disgust in the minds of nearly all white people to the idea of indiscriminate amalgamation of the white and black races ... A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation, but as an immediate separation is impossible, the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together. If white and black people never get together in Kansas, they will never mix blood in Kansas " June 26, 1857
and another:
"I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position." August 21, 1958
That said, many other presidents were much worse racists - but none of them started a war that killed 700,000 people. And there is no question that Lincoln started , and escalated the "Civil War", the southern states were quite willing to peaceably withdraw from the Union.
And I love how you just gloss over the murders and rapes he not only allowed, but encouraged...

Why is Lincoln ranked so high among historians? Because history belongs to the victors - just ask the Chinese. That doesn't make it the truth.
First of all - It is true that Lincoln's Income Tax didn't change the Constitution, but that's because it violated the Constitution - that's why it was struck down by the Supreme Court.
The war itself was started by, and fueled by, Lincoln and his cohorts. FDR didn't start a war, nor did Jefferson Davis, that's a very big difference. And while I'm no fan of Jefferson Davis, the atrocities committed by Union troops on civilians - fully authorized by Lincoln as "the price of war " - far outweigh any by the CSA, and for that alone Lincoln earns the worst president trophy.

A war he started and escalated at every opportunity - that's like saying you should give the Menendez boys a break because they are orphans...

He was a terrible president - in fact I would rate him dead last. No one man did more damage to our Constitution or our nation. He was a virulent racist - even for his time. He was the first to introduce an Income Tax (in violation of the Constitution). He had hundreds of newspaper editors imprisoned - their "crime?" - criticizing his actions as president and he issued executive orders that "suspended" the civil rights of millions of Americans - and that was in the "Union" States. He was also, by any standard, one of the top war criminals of all time.
The blood of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children are on his hands - if there is a hell, you can rest assured he's cooking there.

Until I figured out how to fashion coconut shells into single-use diaphragms, more time than I care to admit...

As a well-known scoutmaster, I frown on these cheesecake photos - better the lads spend their Saturday nights at the library!

I have never bought into this "Batman is gay" stuff (not that there is anything wrong with that). There are folks who say I was gay because "nothing happened" when I was stuck with two beautiful women for several years on a desert isle. They never showed us digging latrines either, but that doesn't mean we went all those years without using the bathroom!
In another note - your video shows Julie Newmar - easily the best Catwoman. If there is some man out there that doesn't find her "the cat's meow" (especially at 1:44 for example), that's a man whose sexual orientation might legitimately be called into question...

He's funny, but imagine if he were half as funny as he thinks he is, he'd be hilarious!

I saw him in person in the early 80's. It was late at night, my stepfather and I were at the McDonald's on Santa Monica Blvd near Century City. A big limo pulls up, and he was in the back with the window down. We didn't want to bother him, so we stayed in our car, eating our Big Macs (maybe 15 feet away), but several fans approached his car, and he was very gracious.

McClory was not a "Never Say Never Again" screenwriter - what Doug says above is correct.
Lazenby did a fine job in OHMSS - his main offense was not being Sean Connery.
Tariq is correct, the 1967 Casino Royale is dreadful - it was released 2 months before You Only Live Twice, so they may have also been in theaters at the same time...

Perhaps the lesson here is don't go to your auditions hung over - although it sounds like it had more to do with Decca's internal stupidity and laziness...

Lincoln refused to remove the troops at Fort Sumter from South Carolina peaceably. The CSA even offered to buy Fort Sumter from the US, but Lincoln refused all attempts to sue for peace, and instead of withdrawing the troops, Lincoln sent supply ships. One of many points at which Lincoln could have stopped things, instead he always escalated. The result? 700,000 dead, and our form of government forever damaged.
Lincoln was a tyrant and a war criminal.
