I had my wallet stolen out of my car (OK stupid me left it unlocked). It had no cash, but the thief did not even have the curtesy of tossing it into a mail box. Annoying getting a new driver's license and such.

Remember when that cargo container full of rubber ducks fell off the ship and broke open. Oceanographers used their "journeys" to study ocean currents. Rubber ducks eventually showed up pretty much everywhere on earth.

My first name is James, it was #1 in 1939 when I was born. OK- so I'm a junior. I see James has made a comeback recently.

It is amazing behavior. I remember watching a guy release a flock of homing pigeons for research at Cornell Ornithology school. Really wild to see them all in unison, flying up, turning to a heading and flying off in that direction.

I thought a lot came from dead skin cells that sloughs off our bodies. Used to like illustrating dust in the air when I was teaching biology. I'd use the bright light from my overhead projector to show the Tindall effect with the dust in my classroom air.

So how are they going to keep track of appointments and such ? Even submarines and orbiting astronauts keep time.
