All too many were built on land that became more valuable for other purposes. They were great for a family. The kids never seemed to mind being in the back seat as they were provided with plenty of popcorn, soda, blankets and pillows.
Recalling about some frozen salmon (Gortons) I got at out Publix. Mrs O cooked it up for dinner. The first mouthful----YECCCHH !! Tasted like moldy cardboard. I checked the "expiration date" on the box and it was like 6 years earlier. Notified both Gortons and Publix. Gortons sent me coupons for some free stuff, Publix gave me a $25 gift card for my trouble. First in, first out, but who would have thought you needed to check dates on frozen foods. Now I do.
Great that you remember the function of mitochondria. Props to your biology teacher. One time while teaching high school biology, I drew study hall duty. A student asked me to help him with a 9th grade algebra problem. I told him I could probably help him, but it would take a while for me to remember how to solve it. I had him ask one of the ace students in the study hall for faster help.
