i don't think they're gonna have enough space in their cute little newspaper to humiliate all the people they would like to.

dumb tactic. almost as dumb as the whole red-light camera thing. it's only gonna make matters worse, and will not change a thing. what a waste of energy, time, money, law enforcement, and more time.

Polx, couldn't agree more. it's almost gross, isn't it? you brits should keep your crooked teeth (even if that is a stereotype).. you guys have a better judge of character and taste in music, and you're not all fat and obsessed with your HummerH2's. thank you.

my cousin got vaneers, and i noticed them IMMEDIATELY. the funny thing was, i never even noticed his teeth before, and i always thought everyone in my family had great smiles. i mean, none of us have particularly white or straight teeth, but we all have great smiles. the first time i saw my cousin after he got the procedure done, it was like he was advertising for a car dealership; they looked sooo fake. that was also the first time i saw vaneers in person (as opposed to those on TV) and they completely turned me off of the whole idea. it looked like he had a mouth full of white chicklets. i'm proud of my stained, slightly crooked teeth, even if i went through 2 years of braces. but they're MY teeth, dammit! plus, what good is it to "appear" to have good teeth? they may LOOK good, but they could easily be rotting from the inside-out. i choose healthy teeth over pretty ones.

"...colleagues FITTED temperature sensors to the scrotums of 30 healthy men..."

they "fitted" them?! i can't think of anything else than the head clamp from a clockwork orange. and if THAT thing is on some dude's balls, ouch.

just, ouch.

"IF" it actually happened, we wouldn't even know because it would happen so fast. like Tracy said, it would suck from all directions and would not just form a bukkit in da earf. there wouldn't be people running down the streets trying to excape inevitable doom, and we wouldn't have time to be sad and upset. we could not possibly replicate a real black hole. we can smack particles together and such, but nothing man-made is EVER as good as the real thing. i mean, just look at EZ-cheese. even if it says it on the bottle, it's not real cheese! even if they say the CERN will create a black hole, it won't be a REAL black hole! it will be a fake black hole with black hole properties and characteristics. it will probably just create a world-wide rash. i guess that's better than inevitable doom, though.

are we talking about his PIN? or the account number? or the password to an online banking system? i'm slightly confused as to what security is actually being put in jeopardy here... i mean, i understand the story and the breach of privacy, and it's all quite hilarious and terrible at the same time. but the last time i checked, the only way you can get assistance with your account is to give them your account number so they can, yunno, assist you.

but seriously, what am i missing? what is a telephone banking password? i'm not familiar. wouldn't a phone password be numbers and not letters? or am i really arguing semantics? you guys can ignore me if you'd like..

i can't help but feel slightly creeped out. definitely impressive, though. must've practiced a lot with the bee-gee's growing up.. that's controlled vibrato at it's finest.

well said, zoltan. i don't know if i would consider wearing a Hijab abuse.. but i see what point you're trying to make. as an athiest, i think requiring anybody to do anything for a religion could be considered abuse. to take it further, i think ALL religion could be considered abusive. i mean, what is this whole "be good or go to hell" thing anyway? it's the simplest example of oppression in the history of man-kind. it keeps people "in their place" and state heads know how to take advantage of that by maintaining a religious agenda. all president bush had to say in order for us to follow him into the middle east was that we had to get rid of the religious radicals, followed by "god bless america." our response? the air became empregnated with patriotic fist pumps and we were ready to fight a "war on terror." the american people have been abused for the entire duration of the bush administration, and i think it's no worse than requiring women to wear Hijabs in the muslim faith.
