You do understand that sort of a thing is done for the technical research and for the bragging rights. Selling a limited series of cutting edge stuff in the early 90s gives us a lot of affordable stuff in 2010s.
I wasn't sure if the first comic Moomintroll and the End of the World (1947) came before the first book The Moomins and the Great Flood (1945). Of course the first drawing of a moomin was in 1923 on a outhouse wall. And the first published comics were in 1943 in a magazine called Garm.
