I'm older than the parents in that comic strip. What I have noticed, although it is not an absolute, is that having children is when "real" maturity starts for most people. Caring for plants or pets or even employees is nowhere near the kick in the butt that raising a child is. The parents in that comic strip would have been just as clueless at 26 as their child is, they just HAD to grow up starting that year in a way he hasn't had to yet.
Having lived for many years in very small spaces, the first thing I noticed is that this concoction needs enough space lengthwise (or at least diagonally) to be able to pull the pieces out, and if you don't have enough room to do that, you don't have enough room for the pieces to BE out. I don't think the designer really knows what "small living quarters" can mean. The background in the photos is a great example: if you have that much room, your apartment is not space-challenged.
Vegan isn't actually the right word for it. Ethical-for-vegans is more accurate. But yes, milk given willingly by any sentient mammal (cow, human, etc.) falls under this category.
Yup to the trail of soap scum. Much better to use a soap dish with a drain - google "drain soap dish" - which is also less likely to get knocked into the sink.
Handedness stereotypes are not "proof". Like the majority of left-handed people, I wear a watch on my left arm and zip up my pants with my right hand. We live in a right-handed world and thus have to adapt.
His tendency seems to be to only ask when she's finally sitting down vegging after a long day, or after she's just come back from working out, or when she's feeling icky in some other way. He seems to be very good at picking exactly the times a woman is most likely to say no. Coincidence?

My personal favorite: "You can't see your own biases." Indeed.
