Lester's Comments
I, on the other hand, have been waiting in anticipation for this album. Very excited. She's not for everyone, but she's certainly a creative genius.

There have been many Steve Jobs action figures, actually, but they always get banned by Apple.

I was going to my girlfriend's house years ago, and a bunch of crows were picking on this other crow that had a broken wing and couldn't fly. I grabbed the injured crow to save it from the others, and sure enough, the others were dive bombing me the entire time as I ran back to my car. I had to quickly roll up my window so they couldn't get inside the car. And yes, they dive bombed me every time I returned, too.
The crow I saved, however, quickly became very affectionate and trusting of me. It would balance on my wrist every where I'd take it—outside to neighbors' houses, etc.—even after it was able to fly again. And he loved to nuzzle; just really push the top of his head into the side of your neck, much like a cockatoo. Edgar Allen Crow was a sweet pet.
I did the same thing with a seagull whose wings were frozen, and who was dive bombed by a bald eagle, but THAT bird never became trusting of me, and made my whole house smell TERRIBLE.

A number of years ago, Alexander McQueen did a fashion show that featured a "Pepper's Ghost"-style holographic effect of Kate Moss floating in a pyramid of water.
(For those who don't know, Pepper's Ghost is basically the effect used for the ghosts in the ballroom of Disney's Haunted Mansion. Also used on the Tower of Terror, and many theatrical stage productions).

Diesel also did a runway show that featured hologram-style effects, although they couldn't truly be called holograms.

From my experience, Ted, people in the third world are not ignorant of what they don't have, but many are more appreciative of what they do have. Friends, family, those are all more valuable than fancy cars and big houses.

Any site that gleefully detailed how a black teenager committed suicide, and then followed it up with photos of his lifeless body and horrible jokes about his life and death is a site the world would be better off without. Good riddence, Encyclopedia Dramatica.

Onions don't make me tear up for some reason, and never have. I can't stand the taste of raw onions, however. Any tricks for making raw onions edible?

"Horse urine eggs" aren't actually made with horse urine, though. They're just typical Century Eggs (which are delicious and beautiful, by the way) which sort of smell like horse urine. Horse urine doesn't have a high enough pH to effectively cure an egg. Human urine has a higher maximum pH than horse urine, but is still not enough to preserve an egg (at least to Century Egg standards). Maybe this is real, but I sort of doubt it.

I'm a teacher, although for a nonprofit, not a high school, but most of my students are street children who are high school aged. I'm Facebook friends with any of them who have Facebook. It's a good way for me to extend my reach as a role model outside of the classroom. And other than parents, teachers are usually among the largest adult influences on kids' lives. I can see how Facebook friendships could be used for abuse, but that doesn't mean it should be illegal. Make inappropriate communications illegal, sure. But don't ban Facebook friendships.
