I have a friend who has a tortoise that lives in her backyard. She puts return address stickers on his shell because he tends to get out every so often.
It's $3.05 at the gas station by my house in Hollywood. The highest it rose this summer was $4.71.
Other areas in L.A. were more expensive than that. There is a gas station at Melrose and Fairfax that is notoriously expensive. It's usually around 40 cents more per gallon. Not sure why. It's not Beverly Hills.
Also, the area around LAX -- namely Inglewood -- is currently around $2.85 - $2.99 per gallon and dropping.
Not as cheap as the rest of the country, but it's nice to those of us who are used to these prices.
I agree about BoingBoing. They seem to be very self-serving these days. I still read it, but I skip a lot. Especially the stuff about Xeni and her trip to South America.
I guess that's the price I pay for having young ears.
Aw. That is damn cute.
