That was fantastic! This only makes sense if you're older and can appreciate what he's talking about. If you wanted to make a private phone call at our house you had to drag the one, corded phone into my parents room and then the sneaky little sister (me) would listen in.
The creativity in this is simply unbelievable! The song is hypnotic, too, with wonderfully poetic lines. (Thought I don't know much about poetry.)
...soon she's down the stairs her morning elegance she wears. the sound of water makes her dream awoken by a cloud of steam she pours a daydream in a cup a spoon of sugar sweetens up...
(If someone wrote about my morning routine, it would be, "She stumbled downstairs and poured some coffee.")
I have to say that I saw the preview for Coraline, and being a preschool teacher I am worried that a bunch of well-meaning (or just foolish) parents are going to take their 4-year-olds to a movie that will scar them for life.
My husband and I would always laugh that the two deodorants shrink-wrapped together at Wal-Mart would cost more than buying two separate ones. "Extra money and some useless plastic!" Only two times in years has it been marked with a cheaper prices.
It's not really a steam engine, but a hot water engine. If you go to the Dutchtub site, which is totally awesome, it has the same principle for heating your portable hot tub with a fire in the coiled metal tube.
By the way, it is FAR better than just a blanket for resting on the couch while watching t.v. or reading. Your arms are free, and the rest of you stays warm while the house is freezing. (I'm trying to save some money, being so dang cheap and all.)
