Or people could eat less meat.
I somehow doubt that would happen.

Yes, because after 100,000 years of evolution we suddenly dont need to eat animals anymore.

A recent study performed on college students showed that there really isn’t much of a difference between how much men and women talk; both use about 16000 words per day. There’s a link to the article here:

Not sure about the new talking study study. It was done on college students only, and they were aware they were being taped.

College students dont really represent society very well.

Also, every woman i have ever known talks way more than any man I have ever known.

Interesting challenge to the accepted knowledge though.

Speaking entirely through my hat here, but this may be similar to calico cats where different traits are expressed differently along the animal.

The animal will always be female to express this due to one of the X chromosomes (of which there are two in females) being expressed differently at different places.

Males only have one X chromosome so they would look more "blended"

Or, I am completely wrong. One of the two.

Last time I'll post on this subject.

Instead of screaming about how you "feel" or what you "think", simply look up the facts.

In all of three minutes I found numerous references on the resilience of squirrels. They routinely jump 35 feet from trees to the ground.

Also, if you haven't noticed, this blog routinely posts things like this to get folks riled up. This is as far as I know the first time it linked to a previous controversial post to get more mileage.

I "think/feel" that this whole thing is hilarious. Keep up the good work Neatorama.

Annoying morans is fun.

Attention animal rights reactionary morans!

They are not furry little humans, they are tree dwelling rodents! And quite tasty.

As such, squirrels are designed through millions of years of evolution to withstand what would seem to humans to be extreme falls.

The squirrels are fine!

Now GBTW or go protest something you are actually informed about.

Im off to eat some dead animal.

I basically plagiarized the comments from the link Retrokatze provided earlier and substituted Beringer’s work for Kettlewell's. I was attempting to point out that unsound well delivered explanations are still unsound.

I tried unsuccessfully to be witty.

Maybe God changed the moths.

Although Johann Beringer's experiments were not perfect, they were not fatally flawed. Although no experiment is perfect (nor can be), even imperfect experiments can give supporting or disconfirming evidence. In the case of fossilized fossils of birds, beetles, moons, and stars, many experiments have been done, and they all support the traditional story.

The flies act just like those I used to put on a CO2 supplied platform in genetics class in college. The CO2 knocks them silly and their little legs move the same. No one thought to put painted ping-pong balls on their feet though. Darn.
