When I took an "intro to cinema" course in college, in 1992, the professor mentioned a few things about how Lecter was shot. In a bunch of his most memorable scenes, he's dead center, staring straight into the camera; you almost never see this shot in the movies, which makes it unsettling and powerful.
He also mentioned Lecter's lack of blinks. According to the prof, whenever Hopkins did blink during a take, they'd remove those frames and replace them with the frames around them, and no one would notice. His never blinking is really unsettling once you start watching for it.

I lost interest and quit before I finished. Not sure I want to know what that says about my brain.

I saw one of these in Florida once, and took a bunch of pictures. Then I lost the film roll before I could get it processed.

Yeah, the 555 area code tips it off as a spoof. Wikipedia says: "Area code 555 in the North American Numbering Plan is reserved for Directory Assistance applications."
It's kind of a weird spoof though; it's funny, but not really funny enough that I'd expect someone to make it as a comedy video.

Apparently when the score reached maybe 60-0, the coach should have told his team to just stop shooting. That way the winning team would feel stupid, the losing team would be humiliated even further, and the spectators would be bored and unsatisfied. Perhaps that's what's meant by "the Christian approach to competition."

Since when is Blade Runner an "overlooked masterpiece"? I think it's generally accepted as a masterpiece, but maybe that's among my friends.
Also, they've already got at least one of those big billboards in Tokyo; it was shown in a scene in "Lost in Translation."

FOUR chords? Slow down there, Beethoven! Three was enough for the Ramones, and it's enough for me.

The one in that picture with Clooney looks like a stiff breeze could tip it over. It's probably got those super-heavy batteries down low to make it stable, but it sure doesn't look stable.

And in the Atlanta area there was a Congressional Representative who was convicted of perjury and did a year in prison, then in 2007 was accused of making illegal campaign contributions to a city council member. His name is Pat Swindall (pronounced "swindle.")
