More Pics from the Exhibit
Ask and ye shall receive. I actually happened to be randomly in the Netherlands and stopped by the exhibit. The pictures aren't all the best (the lighting was hard to catch) but I've uploaded a bunch if you're interested. I've tried to label them as accurately as my memory allows, but sorry for the gaps!

Or maybe, as Violetta puts it:
La vita e' nel tripudio.
Life is just pleasure.

Umm...if by "the one home on the list that is actually owned by the public" you mean the White House...yeah....it's still open for tours:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/tours-and-events
You have to give advance notice, but the first sentence says it best, "Public tours of the White House are available."

This is why I love the Internet. It'll be like Where in the world is Matt (the sequel) meets the Helsinki Complaints choir.
What's not to love? I'm already thinking of couplets to go with the vocalise!

As a child, I couldn't wait to learn cursive, but was forced to learn D'Nealian in school which in my mind was boring and ugly. I was hoping to learn an elegant handwriting, like my parents. Fast-forward to college when I started taking Russian. I had been printing since 6th grade because the cursive looked so bad. In Russian we were forced to learn and write Russian Cursive and I found that my American handwriting became much more fluid with the Slavic influence. My handwriting now looks a lot like this Wikipedia example but with the English Alphabet. I found it easy to learn, easy to write quickly, looks great on the page, and has made my left-handedness a non-issue.
I don't know about others, but I only started cursive again as an adult when it looked better than my print. Maybe we should take a page from the Russians and focus on teaching decent handwriting rather than dumbing-down versions of older handwriting, after all the pen is "an elegant weapon for a more civilized age."

Pluto is actually an orbiting group of British soldiers from the American Revolution who entered space after the Chuck gave them a roundhouse kick to the face.

Which Disney Princess Are You?
It's a tie!
You are part Jasmine. You are loyal and would visit the ends of the earth for what you believe. You would never let obstacles stand in the way of true love.
You are part Ariel. You are beautiful but impaired. At times you are naive. Still, your innocence and good heart make you sought after and loved.

$72/week?! My roommate and I got desperate for money and started budgeting for $40/week which includes $10 ($5 each) for eating out -- basically, coffee with friends 4 nights a week. That was the lowest we could go and keep us budgeted but still eating healthy aka not Ramen every night. Seriously, what the heck were they eating? $175/week = lots of alcohol, filet mignon, and caviar?

I agree, completely addicting, got to level 8 before I realized....I should really be working. D'oh!
For the musicians...did you find that knowing 20th century theory helped? I kept thinking that if I'd studied my hexachordal combinatoriality just a little harder I'd have had the sequences, no problem!

GENIUS. This could be the Christmas present I get my mother. It keeps your feet toasty warm but your hands are free for the crossword puzzle, but your arms and upper body also still covered. This is as awesome as ball-in-a-cup.
