One of my cats was an alley kitten that I took in, shortly after his mother turned him loose on the world. After having him neutered, I brought him home. He was still feeling the effects of the anesthetic, and as I lay him down on a towel in a temporary "bedroom" I had made, he stood up, put his forepaws on my knee (with those little needle claws digging in), bit my finger... and slowly lowered his head, falling asleep with my finger between his teeth.
