I've seen something like this before. They're beautiful. Be careful with snails though. They breed like...well...certainly more fruitfully than rabbits. I bought two for my mom's aquarium and had a couple hundred in a week...
I agree. Adorable interaction but really dangerous. And if that raccoon is comfortable with the cats' and humans' presence...well...they better be prepared to buy catfood for two animals because once a coon thinks there is a meal to be had, it will keep coming back. A coon kept getting into my neighbor's house through the cat-door and just hung out...not safe with small children. He's always ok with me but a 4 year old doesn't know not to pet the *adorable* raccoon 'cuz he might bite your face off (but only because he's scared).
those pictures made me shudder with terror but it looks exhilirating at the same time! ...I've only been to Cumberland Falls. Victoria Falls and Cumberland Falls are the only two waterfalls in the world to have moonbows (like rainbows but at night).
I think marrying a first cousin could cause really complicated issues, like divorce. You'd still see each other (I assume) because you're still family... I feel its an awkward situation that would just get more awkward (partially because of already instilled views but also human nature...) And I agree that more kids does not necessarily mean a better anything. It's an interesting trend but anything the researchers think it may indicate is pure speculation because there are too many variables, by family, region, country, culture, etc.
my mother was very ill recently and has a tube in her stomach. what they do is pour in liquid nutrition drinks (which can be taken orally too). It kept her weight up and fulfilled all her nutritional needs and daily caloric intake. the downside is that it filled her stomach immediately and caused terrible nausea. the tube probably goes into her stomach but since the diet is liquid, does not stay there long. And the article said the food comes up immediately, so I don't think it even makes it to her stomach to begin with. I feel bad for her and felt bad for my mom. there's almost nothing more agitating than not being able to eat when you're hungry.
whatever it is, it looks oddly long. maybe it is how it is jumping? will it grow up to be wooly, i wonder? or smooth-coated like it's dad? cute little thing though.
That seems like it would be painful...I hope it doesn't aggravate the condition... but it's so creative and really...just a good outlook in general to be able to take an uncomfortable condition and turn it into something beautiful.
My first thought was "that would be hell to clean". Then I read the other comments. :P Expensive too. I could hardly afford the 10 gallon tank and everthing else I needed to get my mom's guppies set up properly (most expensive mother's day present ever...but she loves it).
it's called the black market. Or if you have cash to blow, there are breeders who are more than willing to sell exotic animals to those who are unequipped to care physically and mentally for an undomesticated animal. -.-
I fear the message of this video. I hope this doesn't make people go out and get baby lions thinking they're just big kittens and then dump they're "pets" somewhere, completely unprepared for a normal life of any sort. The message should be that housecats are mini-lions. All animals are dangerous around idiots, anyway. >.< I don't think they were antagonizing the lions purposely, though. In the end, we need to respect all living creatures, ones that can nibble our toes at night and ones that can bite our heads off.
I miss being able to play on the playground. Now, if you're older than 10, and not with someone 10 or under, you're loitering and/or a pedaphile. It's nice to relax and swing on the swings sometimes. Everyone needs playtime.
It's kinda awkward...
