My father had a stroke last year that affected his right side. While he has regained almost all of his motor skills back, his language remains hampered. He can't recall names and many nouns. For instance, for a whole week he called everything "house" - the golf cart, a school building, etc. If he is trying to tell you someone's name, he can give directions to their house, or relate a story concerning them from *years* ago, but he can't say their name.
I worked with a guy who looked like Leslie Nielson. He was an extra on a movie shot in his home town, and the rumor went around that Leslie Nielson had an uncredited cameo. Nope, it's just a guy who answers the phone for Sears.
The first one for my first name came up "fabulous." :) Adding my last only brings up "facebook" and "twitter" (and autocorrects my first name since I have an unusual spelling.
Alexandra Feodorovna was born Alix (not Alex) of Hesse. It wasn't Nicholas' nickname for her. She changed her name upon marriage into the Russian royal family.
