Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Imagine a funeral home losing the ashes of your loved one. It's just some dust and brittle bones ground in a ball mill and poured into a baggie. Seems pretty ridiculous to be emotionally attached to such a thing but humans are weird. In such a case you would be entitled to some sort of compensation. Maybe not a bazillion dollars but at least the cost of cremation. At least you did get a funny family story of Nana's burial by way of rubbish skip.

That is one reason I would like to live way out in the country. You can make as much noise as you want, light yourself on fire and run around naked and not have to worry about the neighbors getting their undies in a bunch.

I think this was supposed to be one of those 'humans are afraid of the unknown/strange' psychology studies. Certainly you could chalk it up to the diabolical works of whitey. Personally I believe it is because people are terrified of extraterrestrials. They tend to have really bizarre names. I would just pass over a resume if I saw the name Hermiod on it. I might be helping aliens take over the planet or something. I might be a little paranoid but we all have our little foibles.

I am terrified of elevators. I was a night security guard at one building with a haunted elevator. The door would just open and close over and over in the middle of the night. Add to that the news story of the man who got decapitated by an elevator with his coworker trapped inside.

I have a coworker that calls women coworkers 'baby.' I think he can get away with it since he is an older Iranian and has that foreigner-debonair. I don't think it is particularly professional but no one seems to mind.

I really like the idea but I see some serious problems. This needs to be indoors shielded from the weather. The current design seems really claustrophobic but maybe that is comforting to a dog for a short period of time. You need some cleaning supplies like disinfectant, towels and a spray hose with proper drainage. Such a setup would cost some serious money and retail space which might not be recouped by the increased business from dog lovers.

It is hard to look pass the part about eating chicken nuggets since the age of two. Still it is best not to judge people unless you know all the details. Last week I remember a seven year old boy punching his dad in the side, hard, and yelling because he had been grounded. I'm a cashier and the boy grabbed the money from his father who looked absolutely defeated. The dad didn't look like he wanted a lecture on the merits of spanking or anything else. It wasn't my place to get involved and I did what I could to help them get out of there.

The problem here is people don't know how to deal with each other directly. It is emotionally easier to have someone else (the government) solve our problems. I was once taking pictures somewhere. A man came up to me and explained he was epileptic. The flash was giving him a headache. It was all very civil. I simply stopped taking pictures and everything was fine. We didn't get snarly or angry at each other. Doesn't need to be a big deal.

I think that is pretty neat assuming he is emotionally sound and has the financial means. He's supporting a new company which will create jobs and stimulate the economy if they are successful.

The best part of the article is 'goneburger.' I like learning new slang. I can't wait to use it at work. 'Yeah, he's not at his post, he's totally goneburger.'

He only tack welded it in a few spots. Otherwise it would have made a mess of the 'gift'. The welds are brittle so he could just wail on it with a sledge.
