You left out the "juciest" piece of the controversy. W&C broke into RF's office and stole her data before she had time to analyze it and make it public. The data wasn't a simple picture of molecule it was an abstract pattern that required mathematical analysis to understand. Those men are ignoble larcenists who don't deserve to be Nobel laureates. If they hadn't commited their crime, Rosalind would probably have been credited as the sole discoverer of the structure of DNA.
