Ok, I'll take your word for it, she died from disease in Belsen-Bergen. Or is it Bergen-Belsen? Whoever said b******t needed to be accurate? And if the scientist who invented Zyklon-B agreed that it was used on humans, isn't it likely that following the allied occupation, he was simply made an offer he "couldn't refuse"? Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn has documented similar cases.

I didn't say nobody was murdered. Millions passed through those prisons. Murders happen in cities that large, certainly in prisons that large. My contention is that nobody was gassed. Stacks upon stacks of corpses, and they all happened to die of gassing? Funny, because they sure look uniformly emaciated to me. Emaciation accompanies /starvation./

Do you mean to imply that there were dozens of gas chambers? That's news to me. Please name them, because this is a major development in the one truly forbidden debate with literally *trillions* of dollars and the fate of a powerful nuclear state at stake.

The "Nazis" weren't damned at Nürnberg by gas chambers, they were damned by a process referred to by Robert Taft as "Victor's justice" in "violation of the most basic principles of American justice and internationally accepted standards of justice," to the applause of US president John F. Kennedy.

I'm not going to invite you to STFD or STFU, I'd rather you simply obliged my questions. I'll check back in three months.

I dislike video game culture, but this was really nice. Completed the game while waiting on hold with my wireless carrier. The gradual zoom-out effect was beautiful. Thanks Neatorama.

Wait... is that thing is actually pissing me off? :D

They've taken the faint vibes of modern, enlightened absurdity I wasn't even sure I was justly picking up lately and turned 'em up to 11.

Now I must conscientiously boycott all "free trade" products just to help balance out a universe inhabited by such an obnoxious contraption.

When distinctly European mummies were found in China buried with oodles of technology previously credited to the Chinese of millennia later, the Chinese government teamed up with the National Geographic channel to "invent" a way to consider these mummies to be Chinese!

Their inventions are limitless.

Really? Not one of you guys deems the B&W Dennis the Menace or Lassie worthy of a mention? Not even Belle and Sebastian?!

I adored those shows.

About Double Dare: even though the host explained it every single episode, nobody EVER used the money-doubling gamble-tactic the show was named after: the double dare. If the side being asked "didn't have a clue," they 'dared' the other side to answer. If that side answered, they were stoked. But if they too were clueless, they 'double dared' the original side, who then could have ANSWERED FOR TWICE THE MONEY take the 'physical challenge.' In other words, if your side was asked a tough question it KNEW THE ANSWER TO, it could dare the other side to answer, and if the other side double dared, your side could then answer for twice the reward. Nobody EVER did this. Well, somebody probably did, but I sure as hell never saw it.

As if we live in a society of anything resembling cultural norms anymore; multiculturalism and diversity have obliterated such relics of the past (along with every other pleasant social institution of value). When the average sunday school teacher boasts a tramp stamp and earlobes stretched by hyper-conformist Sumatran-style tribal "plugs," what's the harm in naming a child MEGATRON?

I think it's a lovely name. If I may suggest a middle name, DEVASTATOR wouldn't be half bad, though an MOTU reference would make an appropriate nod: GRANAMYR, perhaps.

The Simpsons episode 'BEHIND THE LAUGHTER' would have been a ingenious, dignified bow-out for the Simpsons, with a later movie and the excellent FUTURAMA as ideal outlets for must-use ideas. Has the 'Bill Watterson' option never entered the question?

Best regards,

Neil

Yep, Mexicans are pretty superstitious. True to form, he even admitted that he returned the stuff for selfish reasons. I used to adore Santa Fe before it was 'reconquista'd' into "Aztlan."

"Different brains?" But they teach us at school that nurture and nurture ALONE accounts for different behavior, criminality, frequency of genius, etc., between different concentrations of human genes, i.e. between different /races/.

Hmm.

Also: why are Neanderthals always speculated to have European hair and eye colors? Blonde, red, light brown hair and green, blue, and grey eyes are believed to have emerged as recently as 15,000 years ago, during the European ice age, as reproductive advantages for women seeking to secure resource-providing mates. This was also a period during which there was an enormous selective pressure favoring intellect.

My theory is that when anthro-model artists combine dark skin, dark eyes and dark hair with the known morphology of Neanderthals, the resulting creatures don't look so foreign anymore. They start to look like the sort of thugs who beat and mug 101-year old women (such as Jack Rhodes).

Woops, I fear the ADL overheard me and is sending a Homeland Security/JTTF diversity religion enforcement squad to cart me off to the Facility 1391 torture center.

Apparently there's some law where goth nerds aren't allowed to wear these and light-up versions as actual googles, only as forehead ornaments.

Are you listening, Groening?

The man is a genius, and spiritually admirable to boot. Could've made zillions licensing C&H to all manners of plastic trash from China, but instead chose dignity.

One point of contention: the stuff they print in its place may be fresher and livelier, but I see no mentionable /talent/. C&H's slot was mostly filled by BOONDOCKS. You know it's the last days of Rome when the heart-touching, wholesome and affectionate humor of a young boy and his imaginary friend is supplanted IN THE FUNNY PAGES by delusional, hateful, self-centered, black racial nationalist bitterness and victim identity. Just what I want to read to my five year old on a Sunday morning.

My hat's off to you, Mr. Watterson.
