@ the monkey: ita with your comment regarding Benski 's comment regarding E-Sizzle's comment. definite +1... and a +1... and a +1 to you too, for +1'ing a +1'ing where a +1'ing a +1'ing was due. Where was I?
These guys/girls in the International Space Station. I wonder how much they worry that they won't come to get them back. (Instead they ask them about how they go to the loo.)
Well ok, but then I think we differ on what can be defined as "plausible".
Sure: maybe it is "theoretically" possible. (I'm not even sure of that, but let's assume for the sake of argument.)
But there is a BIG difference between something that is "theoretically" possible and something that is "plausible".
Plausible means (imo) that it is realistic under the circumstances. What they propose in this article in my opinion is not plausible under the circumstances.
>> Once the illusion of sexual desire is seen through, the desire doesn't arise or when it does, it isn't given any power, it is seen to be a delusion given immense power by the culture.
Really?
Seems hard to believe. With all due respect.
I mean, even if I accept that I only want to pleasure myself (if that is true), I still want to pleasure myself.
>> As long as they don't define what constitutes a "thought" and how people are supposed to record them, I'm afraid this kind of study doesn't mean anything.
Agreed. And don't tell me that being asked to record when you think of sex is not going to influence things. As far as I'm concerned this "study" is worthless. But anything with the word "sex" in it will get published EVERYWHERE. (Maybe that corroborates the findings, oops. But not really: if I read the newspaper and there's a headline with the word sex in it: I will at least check it out, I admit. But that does not mean I'm thinking of sex all day long, which imho is just absurd, except maybe for "sex maniacs".)
No, I didn't expect him to do that. But I don't really get the fascination with this story. So some rich douchebag managed to save his precious Porsche.
Wooptiedoo.
I would be more impressed if he build a raft to safe a family. Like of human beings.
Also worth to mention maybe is the fact that every second a million rumors are spread that turn out not to be true. Maybe that is an exaggeration but still; it probably explains why more serious media are a bit more hesitant. ;)
Ummmm.... YEAH.
Or a story about Kate & William.
But hey, if you are pushing some aviation agenda here, we need to get on top of it.
(Just kidding.)
(No I'm not!)
Yeah ok, my apologies.
It's just that I've gotten wary of peeps camouflaging their agenda with jokes.
(hehe)

There are a lot of sick puppies among us.
