Too much has been made of this. Some idiot found out that you could also interpret this as meaning a donut and wrote a story. The rest is history. It's basically just a funny meme.

Now I love Maru.

But what I also wonder is this:

Isn't he overweight?

And also: he spends all his time indoors. (The few videos I have seen where he ventures outside he seems totally out of his element.) Isn't this just a totally neurotic cat? He seems content enough but I wonder if he is not slowly going crazy.

Read an article not too long ago about Easter Island where certain colonists brought rats and used them as a source of food. The Easter Island culture BTW was destroyed mainly by colonists bringing diseases the local population had no defense against. (What else is new?)

Nobody noticed the ears?

Anyway, the image that is presented to the outside world for most celebrities is totally fabricated anyway, so this is a nice one. :DDD

Marriage is a legal contract.

The same sort of thing you sign when you rent a house.

What has been approved here has nothing to do with religion. Nothing. As in zero. Nada. Diddly squat.

(And BTW: we all already know what the Catholic Church or other religious fundamentalists do not approve of.)

As usual with a lot of environmental issues they are targeting (or putting the blame on) the consumer, the only party who has pretty much no say in the matter. Get real, it does not work that way. The consumer buys what is cheapest. The end.

Apart from what's been said already: if anything, gay couples can probably raise kids better than heterosexual couples.

When hetero couples get kids it's either by accident or because of social pressure.
With gay couples it's exactly the opposite: they can't have kids by accident and all the social pressure is against them raising kids. So if they want to raise a kid they really really really want to.

I think that's a better start than: "I thought you were on the pill."
