@edselpdx While I agree with your quote, praying and flag flying took up only 10 seconds of a nearly two minute video. There is nothing wrong with flying your flag or with religious people praying. The other ideas in the video were all well thought out and informative for people who want to honor fallen soldiers and veterans but aren't sure how to do so.
Not sure what you mean, Sven. People get sick from food mostly because of food-borne illness, not because they eat something that's old. Unless you're drinking sour milk or eating rotten meat or produce (which, if you have a nose, should never happen), you really should be fine.
How long food is good has much more to do with how it's stored than the expiration dates. Eggs, for example, actually keep longer if you store them in a colder part of the fridge- the compartment in the door designed for egg cartons is too warm to keep them very long. Try StillTasty.com to take the guesswork out of how long food is REALLY good for, and to learn how to store it properly. It's incredibly useful.
One of my favorite things is discovering that the carton of milk I bought is still good, a week or two after the expiration date. Pathetic, right? ;)
I agree with the header/footer switch thing. I had no idea that there was anything interesting on the footer til I read the comments. "Where is all this indie art he's talking about?" I'd like it better if the header weren't so dark. It looks kind of uninviting compared to the old one, but that's just me.
Other than that, though, it looks really nice. Very streamlined, but not too different from the old version. Good job!
I would have majored in computer science if I hadn't failed calculus and intro to CS. I still desperately wish I could have. It's the kind of environment I love. And I adore nerds and geeks. So... fail study.
I love the green ones on the first page, and the m&ms, but good lord, how is that not bad for your nails- using nail polish remover on them every day? Or are those synthetic nails?
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for posting this! I've been looking everywhere for awesome fork/spoon jewelry for a Christmas gift for my mother. This is PERFECT. And you can bet I'll be buying some of those sculptures as gifts.
I am incredibly NOT interested in celebrities. I have to think very hard to tell Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt apart in my head and as a general rule, I have no idea what a celebrity you happen to mention looks like. "Which one is that?" is my general response. I couldn't care less about Jon and Kate or Tiger Woods. I don't care about them any more than I care about average people. Because they ARE average people. They just happen to have neat jobs. Big deal.

@AntDude, I'm sure any excess paint was cleaned off immediately.
