How can we not include the illustrious career of Thomas Midgley, who invented Tetraethyl lead and CFC's? The life work of this one individual will probably keep killing people for decades if not centuries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Midgley,_Jr.
We've been Pley subscribers for about six months - they did a Groupon around last Christmas. Pros: new sets to build about a week after you return the one you just completed. Cons: the coolest sets are in high demand, so you may be getting the ones on the bottom of your list much more often than the ones on the top; most sets are missing at least one piece, which is really frustrating to a seven-year-old; the sets show varying degress of wear (especially in the documentation); it's not inexpensive.
If you're a Lego maniac and love to build them for the sake of building, can do a couple of sets a month, and are OK building a house kit when you were really hoping to get the Death Star kit, it's great. Otherwise, YMMV.
Absinthe strainer, of course. Sugar cube on the spikes, slow drip of ice water over the spoon and into the glass of pure wormwood extract - psychadelic heaven. Doesn't everybody have one of these?
